Easter Idea Blog – Ideas for Easter Crafts, Easter Decorations, Easter Dinner and Easter Flowers

Do you have any good ideas for Easter basket gifts for my husband and my 3-month-old son? My husband is a sports guy (golf, football, etc), but we don’t have much money right now. I will take any ideas! Thanks in advance!

As for the little guy, when my 7 year old was tiny, we put jars of baby food and baby snack items, travel wipes in a summer plastic set (little chair, pail, shovel, etc.) instead of a basket. All things were very useful. As for your husband, I sometimes give my husband breakfast on the run sort of things like granola bars, and some snack items (nuts, crackers) in his basket. Again, all these are very useful. Happy Easter!

EBay is a great place to find stuff. If he loves sports and you are willing to spend a little extra, you can go to NFL.com and get him a personalized jersey with his favorite team (i.e. got my boyfriend’s name on the back of a Patriots Jersey – his birthday was the number). I was on a tight budget, but prepared ahead of time for the expense. Another time I filled a basket with a DVD and everything else was movie related: popcorn containers, bag of popcorn, mini cans of soda, some boxes of candy – I tried to stay with a movie theme.

As far as your son, I am not much help. My kids have four legs and fur – LOL. But keep in mind he won’t remember much of it being that he is so very young. How about a baby safe stuffed animal?

Good luck with ideas. I have to come up with some myself for my mom and boyfriend – lol.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. If you are thinking $20-$30, give your husband two tickets to a movie or a game or two of golf. You could get your son some clothes or baby toys from Babies-R-Us. I wouldn’t go over $10 or so for your son because he will grow out of whatever you will get him in a year or so. If you are thinking more, you could get your husband a new golf bag, a football jersey, etc.

I have fun when it comes to my hubby’s basket. Sometimes it is movies, gift certificates for his fav lunch spots, game tickets, magazine and subscription to that magazine, etc.
I would give your son something useful as he will not have a use for candy or remember. A stuffed animal or toys would be a safe bet.

My parents have alway given us small candies and a chocolate bunny, nothing more. Why not just do that? And maybe for your son add a soft bunny/chick toy? (you can get these almost anywhere about now, but the nicest I’ve seen were at Hobby Lobby. Go figure.)

for my kids(i have a 3 year old too) I’m putting art supplies in their baskets. they love to draw and make crafts. I get tired of the same old toys and candy.
for your hubby maybe some nerf toys or a bobble head from his favorite team. years ago I was able to find football and baseball shaped chocolates in coordinating wrappers. you might find them in the regular candy isle. That might be different than the usual easter candy

How about the small new testaments that the Gideons pass out. They would be great gifts for a basket.
