Make an Easter Egg Tree with hollowed out eggs, dye and decorate and hang them up with fine satin ribbons onto a nice tree branch, put in vase or buy a cheap crocus/spring bulb in terra cotta planter and stick the branch into it (would make a festive table decoration and plant bulbs when done) and make hot cross buns using the bread machine.

i been trying to make a recipe for my friend on easter any ideas?
try peanut butter candies i love them!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m planning on making cupcakes for Easter. Is there anything besides colored coconut that I can use to simulate grass for the decoration? The children don’t like coconut, but I want that spring look of grass. Thanks.
Try this link, scroll down to the bottom look at the GREEN DECORETTES. That is an option and it is candy.

does anyone know if Asiatic lilies are cousins to the Easter lilies?
easter lily is lilium longiflorum. asiatic lily is a hybrid. so they are not cousins, but are in the same family. cousins in not a recognized botanical classification
Seems like people could shred colored paper in a paper shredder & make their own grass for Easter baskets instead of buying plastic grass, then recycle the paper. I’ve done it for packing gifts for wrapping & shipping. (Besides, I think we used the same baskets & grass for 10 yrs when I was a kid.) What else could be done?
How about if you do buy plastic Easter eggs, you keep ’em, use them again and again year after year instead of disposing them. They are washable. I like the paper shredding idea.
