I was thinking of doing crafts with the little kids there. 🙂

Im going to a park where there are horses and the adults are going

to hide the eggs but I think we should do something more than just

hide eggs and make the kids get them. I was thinking of doing crafts

with them so what kind of easter crafts do you recommend.

Anything will help, thankyou.

instead of doing a craft (something that will take a LONG time because each kid will have to work at his or her own pace) Can you get some face crayons and paint them some whiskers and teeth to make them look like bunny rabbits? And then have a bag of easter coloring pages and take home fun to do, so you’re not responsible for each child’s individual time.

Here are TONS of easter coloring pages, another thought could be to have a few big baskets of crayons sitting out with the coloring pages and let them come and go as they please to color their pages.

I’m going to have a few dozen hard-boiled eggs to use – what are some good recipes for deviled-eggs or potato/macaroni salad with hard boiled eggs in them? I’m not a great cook, so does anyone have any simple recipes?

I have a really good potato salad recipe.

5 pounds of potatoes
1 small jar of sweet pickles
1 small onion
salt and pepper
mayo, never measured, just put it in till it looks right.
1 1/2 dozen to 2 dozen eggs.
3/4 cup of so of sugar, I never measure this either. I just pour and taste. So when you get the taste you like, stop.

I cut up the potato’s in bit size pieces, then boil them.

Drain, Run cold water over them to help cool them, drain.

Cut up your eggs, all but 6 to 8, to put in the salad. Add.

Cut up the sweet pickles in small pieces. Add.

Cut up your onion, add.

Salt and pepper to taste.

Add 1/2 of the jar of sweet pickle “juice”.

Add sugar.

Add mayo till it looks right.

Stir it all up.

With the leftover eggs, cut them in full slices going longways and lay them on top to look pretty.

Enjoy.
( you can also make macaroni salad with this, just use 1 pound of mac. noodles in stead of potato’s.)

Where would the best place to go shopping for Easter decorations be? Me and fiance are just starting to buy all new stuff for our house and i cant seem to find any decorations…i went to walmart but didnt see many at all….please help

Try Hallmark stores, also, I’ve seen some at Kmart. My local grocery store also had a nice selection. If you want online shopping, try Fitz & Floyd or for really nice stuff (a little expensive, but worth it!) try Department 56.(They make Christmas Villages, and Snowbabies, too.) Depending on what you’re looking for, Dollar Stores may also be helpful.

My friend is getting married 2 weeks after Easter, and would like to use leftover potted Easter lilies from the church for decorations/centerpieces. If you have experience with these plants, do you think they’ll last the 2 weeks after Easter and still have blooms on them for the wedding? I know they last longer when the pollen things are removed, and any other tips on helping them last that long would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much!

The flowers might last if they are kept relatively cool, but normally I’d say no since the churches will have the flowers out for most of Holy Week. However, the blooms normally only last a few days at most so I really wouldn’t count on it.

The best way would be to get ones that still had unopened buds and hope they will bloom later.

This is something my husband and I have a hard time agreeing on. In my family, we were given SOMETHING for Easter until we went off to college. However, my husband says we should stop as soon as she stops believing in the Easter Bunny.

How about your family? I’m just wanting to get a general opinion on this matter.

i agree with you!

my sister & I received a small gift for Easter until the day we moved out!

It’s Easter, everyone deserves a little treat whether they believe or not..

that’s like saying you shouldn’t give/receive anything on Christmas because you don’t believe in Santa.

What are some fun Easter ideas for one year olds and also some ideas for family’s to do we usally die eggs and if you have any ideas for baby’s that are only about 5 to 7 months old i would gladly appritiate it

♥Olivia

For your 1 year old you can have a small egg hunt and for the 5 and 7 month old make a small basket for them.
1 yr old-Cheerio’s, Fruit, Socks, hair ties, small piece of chocolate, fruit snacks.
5 to 7 month old-baby food, stuffed animal, bibs, hair ties, book, rubber duck, gerber puffs.

For ideas with the family you could all make Easter sugar cookies together or have a Easter Scavenger hunt.
